Jewelry Care
Simple tips to keep your handcrafted pieces looking their best for years to come.
Caring for Your Jewelry
General Care
Store your jewelry flat or hanging to prevent tangling and scratching. Avoid wearing pieces in water, and always put jewelry on after applying perfume, lotions, and hair products. After wearing, gently wipe each piece with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oils and restore shine.
Pearl Care
Pearls are organic gems and deserve a little extra attention. Store them separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching — a soft pouch or lined compartment works perfectly. Keep pearls away from household chemicals, chlorine, and acidic substances. Over time, pearls may develop a deeper luster with wear — this is natural and part of what makes them unique.
Beaded Jewelry Care
Natural stone beads like agate, jasper, and turquoise can chip if dropped on hard surfaces, so handle them with care. Remove beaded bracelets and lanyards before exercise, swimming, or any activity where they could snag or take impact. When not wearing them, store beaded pieces flat to keep their shape.
Metal Care
Sterling silver naturally develops a patina over time. Polish it with a jewelry polishing cloth to restore its bright finish — it only takes a moment. Gold-filled pieces are beautifully low-maintenance and resist tarnishing under normal wear. Simply wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing to keep them looking their best.
